Shabnam Nasimi

Date posted: 07/03/2019

Shabnam Nasimi arrived in the UK at the age of eight with her family, fleeing the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. She has spent most of her life working for a charity (Afghanistan & Central Asian Association) dedicated to integrating Afghan and other refugees into British Society, promoting core British values amongst migrant communities and helping some of the most marginalised members of our society.

As part of her work at the ACAA, she has worked in a diaspora-led development programme in Afghanistan as well as supporting women and families who are refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
